In recent years, religious tourism has increasingly become a commercial product. Many religious objects are visited not because of their sacral functions, but because of their high artistic and historical value. Religious buildings attract large numbers of people, and at the same time the phenomenon itself cannot be classified as a new and recently created tourist product, quite the opposite. Traveling to holy places has its roots far back in history, even though the concept of tourism as such was not yet known to anyone.
