Dances and fun until dawn, i.e. a folk wedding

Tradition

You can draw a lot from the Polish tradition, and you will never run out of inspiration. A folk wedding is associated with champagne fun that lasts until the morning, obligatory after-party the next day and traditions with a very rich symbolism. Who has once tasted fun at a folk wedding will always want to go back to those days.

The organization of a wedding, which refers to the tradition of folklore, is a great theme. The guests will surely be delighted, and the elders will have tears in their eyes. You don't have to come from the countryside or the mountains to choose a folk wedding. It is enough that you feel a connection with Polish tradition and take the best from it. At last slavic wedding has a long and rich tradition.

Tradition in a modern version, i.e. a folk wedding in the 21st century

Polish culture is extremely interesting, and many wedding traditions and customs date back several hundred years. Same as wedding and wedding superstitions. We don't remember some of them, and we draw from some of them to this day. Can reaching for tradition, especially in times when American-style weddings are fashionable, satisfy guests? If you skillfully combine old customs with a modern form, you can be sure that you will win the hearts of all invited guests in the blink of an eye.

Reaching for some traditions may turn out to be burdensome and poorly received by the participants of the party. Few people will want to play in the barn and sleep in the hay. The matter seems to be quite risky, but if you arrange the right interior of the room, you will certainly get a satisfying effect. True lovers of folklore may be tempted to organize a party in a suitably styled place, but with the comforts that modern guests are looking for.

Folk wedding - party setting

In order to preserve and maintain the atmosphere of a folk wedding, you need to take care of the appropriate setting for the party - down to the smallest detail. Consider the music first. Folk songs are very distinctive - appropriately rhythmic, easy to remember and good to dance to. And besides ... folk songs are often humorous and sarcastic, and their content usually refers to the theme of the wedding. If you do not want only folk music to appear at your wedding, you can also opt for songs that have retained their old character, but have been performed in a modern edition. The bride and groom who want it to be live music should choose from folk bands specializing in folk music.

The obvious element that you can't forget about is the decoration wedding hall. A folk wedding is primarily flowers, lots of vivid and intense colors and embroidered motifs. You can use wildflowers to decorate the tables: poppies, cornflowers and cornflowers will be a hit. Instead of classic white tablecloths, use embroidered ones that will perfectly match folk-style table runners. Don't forget about ribbons, which are a typical folk decoration!

Homely food and good drinks

A folk wedding cannot exist without homely food and strong drinks. Remember that this has nothing to do with refined cuisine and exquisite dishes. In such a treat, the whole magic lies in simplicity and good ingredients that have not been enriched with chemical additives. Smoked sausages and hams should really smell like smoke, and sourdough bread must replace yeasted bread. The portions should be substantial and the food filling.

It was customary to serve fatty foods that would reduce the negative effects of consuming strong alcohol, but keep in mind that times have changed and not everyone is prepared for such "rarities". Therefore, offer something nutritious, but also light in the wedding menu. Also fruits for a wedding can add "homeliness" if you focus on native and seasonal ones.

It will be a fun wedding folk

A very interesting idea is to serve dishes directly related to the region where the Young Couple comes from. Folk food is also appetizers and snacks that you can serve on a separate table in the form of a buffet. Thanks to this, guests can reach for something to eat at any time.

Strong drinks are an inseparable element of a folk-style wedding. If you really want to stay in this climate, you can forget about Pinacolada or Margarita, and instead of exquisite drinks, simply serve pure vodka. As an alternative, liqueurs (preferably homemade) and sweet tinctures will work. If you want to really reach deep into the roots, replace Coca-Cola and orangeades with natural juices and compotes.

Don't forget to have fun!

Although good fun is the essence of every wedding reception, it has a really special meaning in folk tradition. In addition to traditional dances on the dance floor, you can conduct folk dance games. You should also not avoid entertainment and games that always cause laughter in the room.

A skilfully run wedding reception is a real challenge. Guests should not feel embarrassed while having fun, but they should be happy to get on the dance floor. In order for the party to be really successful, look for a bellman who will captivate everyone with his charisma, humor and knowledge of folk traditions, and who will skilfully conduct all wedding games and activities. A DJ, even one with an excellent knowledge of tradition, will definitely not work here. What counts above all is live music, which will catch the guests' hearts and allow them to dance the whole night with you.
