Crazy wedding preparations - how to plan a wedding day?

Are you recently engaged and want to get married? That's great news! It's great that you both strive for the same thing, love each other deeply and have a future together. However, before you start planning your next life, you have to face the organization of the wedding. Where to start wedding preparations? Here's a pre-wedding schedule to make sure you don't forget anything!

Wedding preparations can be crazy. As newlyweds-to-be, you have a lot to do and many important decisions to make. In all the pre-wedding fever, it's easy to forget something, which can be a cause of unnecessary stress. That is why it is important that you approach the organization of the wedding with full commitment, positive attitude and ... a good plan! A proper schedule is, next to a detailed budget, the most important element of the initial preparations for the wedding day. A carefully written action plan will avoid unpleasant surprises, additional expenses and unnecessary disputes. Never leave anything to the last minute! Such action is associated with, for example, the risk of unavailability of selected subcontractors within a certain period. It is better to arrange everything well in advance, and spend the last days before the wedding on joyful, peaceful expectation.

A good plan is the basis - preparations for the wedding step by step

What should a proper schedule look like? First, establish the basics of this important day. First of all, choose the date of the wedding and the nature of the ceremony - whether it will be a civil or church wedding. Plan your budget in detail and determine who pays for what at the wedding. Choose a style, set wedding theme and prepare an initial guest list. This will make it easier for you to find the perfect wedding venue.

A year before the wedding (or even earlier), book a wedding hall and sign contracts with the most important subcontractors (team, photographer, cameraman, decorator). Then book a date at a church or office and find out what it is documents before marriage you will need them. In addition, determine additional wedding attractions, sign relevant contracts with companies offering such services, and prepare a detailed list of guests and send a "save the date", i.e. a wedding notification.

About 9-10 months before the wedding day, the bride should choose a wedding dress and accessories for her creation. This is also the right time to book appointments with a hairdresser and make-up artist - it is also worth making an appointment for a trial make-up and hairstyle, so that on the wedding day you do not worry that the stylist's vision will be different than the bride's vision.

Preparations for the wedding - only half a year left

6 months before the wedding is the perfect time to buy wedding invitations and other printed materials (such as license plates or decorations for wedding hall). Wait with the place cards and table plans until the guests confirm their presence at the wedding. You should also look for an outfit for the Groom, buy wedding rings and book a vehicle for the wedding. Also think about transport and accommodation for guests if the wedding takes place outside the city or the wedding guests come from far away. If you've decided to have a church wedding, don't forget to sign up for premarital counseling.

3 months before the wedding day, prepare all the necessary documents (some are valid only for 3 months, so it's not worth getting them in advance), distribute wedding invitations and choose flowers - including a bouquet for the bride, flowers for wedding tables and other decorations. Arrange the details of cooperation with subcontractors, order cakes and a wedding cake, buy alcohol and plan the menu.

The last month is the time for corrections in wedding outfits, organization of vignettes, table plans and thank you cards for guests, as well as planning a hen and stag party.
