The Underground City of Osówka is one of the objects related to the mysterious "Riese" project, built by the Third Reich. For what purpose - it is not known to this day. Osówka (716 m above sea level) is a mountain located in the Owl Mountains near the towns of Sierpnica and Głuszyca.
The Underground City of Osówka is one of the objects of the "Riese" project, implemented by the Reich in 1943-45. A fragment of the planned complex, which was completed by 1945, includes approx. 2 km of corridors and halls, one of which is almost 10 m high.
The Osówka Complex also includes facilities located on the surface, such as a sentry shelter, the so-called Casino, or Gym. The purpose of the built object is not fully known. According to the hypotheses, it was to be the place of work of scientists on the prototype of weapons of mass destruction. Others believe that the so-called Golden Train.

The Underground City of Osówka it is open for guided tours from Monday to Sunday. This can be done from 10:00 to 17:00. Two trails are available for sightseeing. The historical route can be followed without the need to book in advance. On the other hand, the extreme route is possible to walk from 16:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, by prior reservation. Visiting them takes about 60-70 minutes. The cost of admission to the city is PLN 30 - a normal ticket, PLN 24 - a reduced ticket and PLN 35 - an admission ticket to the extreme route.
The Underground City of Osówka it is located approx. 85 km from Wrocław and approx. 20 km from Wałbrzych, and access should not be a problem due to the multitude of national roads running nearby. In front of the entrance to the property there is a free car park where you can leave your car.
The facility can also be accessed via the black trail of martyrology, leading from Głuszyca to Jugowice, running along the south-eastern slope of the mountain - straight to the entrance to the underground. There is also a yellow trail next to the Osówka Complex, which can be used to get from Głuszyca to Mount Osówka in about 2 and a half hours - this trail runs along the objects located on the surface of the Underground City of Osówka.
