Wedding bouquets are an extremely important element of the wedding. Why does every bride attach so much importance to flowers? And does it always have to be flowers? A perfectly matched bouquet is in a way a reflection of the bride's interior. The composition can be e.g. romantic or elegant. So what should you pay attention to when choosing a truly delightful bouquet?

What should be the perfect bunch?

Before we move on to the selection of flowers for the bouquet and its shape, it is worth thinking about a few most important rules.

First of all, wedding bouquets cannot be too heavy. In addition, they should be comfortable to hold for the bride and not be burdensome. What does it mean? Single plants should not have sharp ends, which could catch the bride's dress. If the bouquet would be damaged or pulled, it is better to give up such a bouquet. If the bouquet has live rose flowers, then remember that the stems should not have thorns, and the place of grip should be carefully braided with a ribbon, which will make it easier to hold the bouquet.

Wedding bouquets - how to choose?

First, the color and shape of the dress. According to the principle of contrast, we choose a more modest wedding bouquet for wide and richly decorated wedding dresses (lace, frills, embroidery). A classic, round bouquet of roses will be perfect. Attention! The colors should be at least a few tones stronger than the shade of the dress, so that the flowers are visible against it and look beautiful. Let us also remember that if we do not choose a snow-white dress, we should not choose bouquets of snow-white flowers, because the dress will look dirty or gray next to them.

With simple, classic dresses without a lot of decorations, you can afford a bit of extravagance and choose a more fanciful bouquet, richly decorated, with an unusual shape or color scheme. Long and narrow dresses will look good in the company of slender, simple flowers - this is a perfect proposition for short women in the spring. When it comes to the size of the wedding bouquet, petite girls should choose smaller bouquets (about 20 cm in diameter), and tall ones should be slightly larger - between 25 - 30 cm.

Wedding bouquets - shapes

Cascade – is an ideal proposition for more modest, classic dresses, devoid of lace and decorations. The wreath plays a very decorative role here. Usually, many kinds of flowers, green leaves and even ivy are used for it, which gently falls down the dress. Brides often combine green with white or follow more energetic colors such as pastels, yellows, amaranths or burgundy.

Scepter – this shape is perfect for avant-garde creations, the form of a fish-style dress. Brides with a shorter height or a stocky build look great with it, because such bouquets slim the silhouette and lengthen it. They are often made of several single, very long flowers that are tied with a ribbon in the upper part of the bouquet, just below the inflorescence.

Nosegay – in this bouquet, the stems of the flowers are closely intertwined. Then the inflorescences form a kind of dome. Increasingly, however, nosegay bouquets are found in a more patchy version, where the green leaves form an irregular shape. Such bouquets will work well in stylizations in which accessories in colors other than white play a slightly larger role. Flowers in the color of burgundy or amaranth will perfectly fit into the whole stylization and create a perfect contrast between the dress and its accessories. Many brides are now opting for this solution.

Wedding bouquets in boho and rustic style

Wedding bouquets of wildflowers look beautifulwhich are getting more and more popular every year! Natural shades perfectly match delicate styling and make-up as well as all types of braids. In addition, a beautiful wreath of live flowers matched to the bouquet and the whole stylization will take on an exceptionally idyllic character!

Of course, the rustic style also brings other floral decorations. Bouquets of field flowers can also often be found on guest tables, but heathers are also often used in winter weddings. Extensive bouquets on guest tables or the presidium table are often an amazing palette of colors - boho style and rustic style are unobvious motifs that have been loved by young couples around the world.

Wedding bouquets tailored to your beauty

Another important issue is the type of beauty and complexion of the future bride. Wedding expert Joanna Hoc-Kopiej advises on this matter:

“We offer brunettes flowers with saturated colors and strong colors. Blondes will suit light shades of flowers, e.g. delicate oranges, roses, salmon and lemon, which we mix together. A more intense yellow will work well with dark accents. Warm colors, i.e. all kinds of browns, beiges and greens, are reserved for red and chestnut hair. We combine both dark green and ash-blue with strong pink - it's the perfect combination and the upcoming bouquet hit of the season!

Wedding bouquets - what flowers?

Once you have chosen the color and shape of the bouquet, you need to think about what flowers to choose. Please note that these flowers cannot be resistant. They must withstand heat or frost and the lack of water for at least several hours. If they fall after several dozen minutes, such a bundle is no longer suitable even for throwing during the openings.

The most frequently chosen flowers for bouquets are lilies, peonies, eustomas, roses and quite expensive, but extremely effective orchids. Plus accessories such as gypsophila, eucalyptus twigs or monstera leaves. In summer, we have access to many seasonal flowers and it is worth trying them in a wedding bouquet. They include e.g. gladioli or peonies. If you are organizing a wedding in a boho or rustic style, aromatic lavender will fit in beautifully.

Finally, let's remember that the most important thing is a smile and a positive attitude, because it is these elements that will make both our wedding bouquet and the bride herself look special and unusual on the wedding day! See photos of young couples and weddings at Dwór Korona Karkonoszy.
