How to celebrate success or an anniversary? Sometimes it's enough to pat an employee on the back or announce something in the company corridor. However, there are occasions that require a more solemn setting. Then a real corporate gala will work. 

Your company is you - others do not have to be aware of important anniversaries or milestones. It has a symbolic meaning when you celebrate your successes with pomp by organizing a real company gala. Will it be 25th anniversary of the companyor the first hundred customers served, you deserve a festive setting. 

Company gala at the company's headquarters - pros and cons 

For this reason, a company gala at the company's headquarters is not a very good idea. Of course - if the event is symbolic, there is probably no point in going to the other end of Poland, because it is enough to uncork the champagne in the company kitchen. However, too many business owners before you have experienced just how problematic they can be events at the company's headquarters.  

• Usually there is not enough space on them, because the office is not used for dancing, cooking shows or changing clothes.  
• Even if you use the services of a cleaning crew after the party, employees will be looking for all the necessary items for a long time.  
• The only exception is if you own a garden. As long as it is more than 100-200 sq m. of space, it is worth organizing in it corporate party (as long as it doesn't disturb the neighbors).  

Decorations such as luminous garlands or white helium balloons they are cheap, and among the trees they look simply magical. The biggest advantage of company galas at the company's headquarters is that their organization is cheap. However, if you do not intend to use the help of professionals, take into account the responsibility that will rest on you and the enormity of organizational work that is required for everything to take place on time and in the right setting.

Or maybe a banquet hall in the city? 

A company gala can also be held near the company. This takes away from its festive character a bit, but at least the band members will be close. You take off organizational responsibilities because the menu or decor can remain with the owners of the facility. If you have access to a beautifully located hall for a company gala, it is worth using it. It's worse if it's one of many suburban wedding halls.

A busy road behind the fence and other events taking place at the same time will take away from the charm of the event. You will feel that this is not entirely "your" holiday. For smaller anniversaries, this may still work, due to the already discussed transport simplifications (additionally, you can order, for example, a coach or a bus that will start transporting guests at specific hours). However, if the occasion is really special, it may be better for guests to break away from everyday life and start celebrating in a completely new place.

Going away company gala – is it a good idea? 

Especially bigger events like 10th anniversary of the company or great financial success, require a unique setting. Imagine that in another 10 years, employees will remember the previous anniversary. If it took place in a random place near the office, they probably won't be able to remember its name... It's different if you spent this time in a special place. The picturesque Karkonosze Mountains, Sopot, or maybe an island on the lake? Don't ignore what psychologists know about how memories are built. One day in beautiful scenery is enough to change your life forever. 

If you choose the place well, your employees will remember it for a long time, and they will even be happy to come back to it in the future. Over time, this also allows you to build a common "map of memories" - on the map of Poland, and maybe even Europe, there will be more and more places that you and your team will remember well.  

A nice, unusual place also emphasizes the uniqueness of the moment. How will the competition receive the information that you organized your big jubilee in the clearing behind the company garage? And how will they react if you celebrated the occasion in the Maldives, Mallorca or in a hotel rented exclusively in the Giant Mountains? As you can see, the choice of place is also important PR- and image-related. That's why it's worth taking the time to choose the perfect one.

Corporate gala – unique or traditional? 

traditional party of this type are evening dresses, elegant tables and an evening full of speeches. This has been true since the beginning of the last century, and perhaps even longer. However, if you have a young team, such a company gala can be boring for them. what instead? 

• An informal gala by the pool or on the beach; 
• company gala in an eco-style, with paper tableware, home-made beer or organic wine; 
• a celebration with performances for which each band will prepare something unique.  

This way you will show that you are keeping up with the times. If your team dresses very casually on a daily basis, they will be happy to hear that there is no need to dress up in a suit or buy a ball gown for this occasion. It's the little things like this that show how much you care about your employees.
