The Walim Adits are a part of the German complex from the times of World War II, implemented according to the so-called project "Riese" (pol. Giant) in the Owl Mountains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walim Adits<\/strong> is a fragment of a complex of adits with a total of 500 m, open to the public, with a route enriched with audiovisual effects, hollowed out in the slopes of the Ostra hill. Due to the proximity of the town of Rzeczka, the facility is sometimes also called "Complex Rzeczka".<\/p>\n\n\n\n The town of Walim has been a linen powerhouse since the 17th century. Tablecloths, towels and jacquard fabrics, valued all over Europe, were sewn here until 1992. During World War II, the Nazis chose the nearby mountain - Ostra, for the location of the underground complex. According to some hypotheses, it was to become an arms factory. Near Walimski Adits<\/strong> there are also other, unfinished underground complexes, such as Os\u00f3wka, Jawornik or Sobo\u0144. According to some guesses, what we can now visit, as fragments of complexes, was supposed to be connected thanks to underground corridors into a single whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Walim Adits<\/strong> are available to visit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entrance tickets to Walimski Adits<\/strong> it costs PLN 22 \u2013 a normal ticket and PLN 18 \u2013 a reduced ticket. The offer also includes a combined ticket: Walim Adits<\/strong> + Grodno Castle<\/a> (valid for 10 days) for PLN 40 - normal ticket and PLN 30 - reduced ticket. Such a ticket is a cost-effective option, especially for those planning to visit the surrounding areas of the Owl Mountains. Visiting the adit should take about 45 minutes and due to the temperature and humidity prevailing in the underground, it is recommended to take warm clothes with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To get to the Rzeczka Complex, head towards Wa\u0142brzych, from where road 381 will lead in the direction of K\u0142odzko. Take the road from Jedlina-Zdr\u00f3j to road 383, which will take you directly to Walim.
