The Wielis\u0142awskie Organ is an exposure of rhyolite rocks with a unique pillar structure on the slope of the Wielis\u0142awka mountain (375 m above sea level), located in the village of S\u0119dzisz\u00f3w. This geologically unique rock formation is also a natural monument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The characteristic structure that characterizes Wielis\u0142awskie organs<\/strong>, took the form of a pillar blow during the cooling of the magma in the volcanic vent. The vertical rocks located here have diameters of approx. 20 - 30 cm and occur in four or five-fold columns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n From the mid-16th century to the 19th century, mining works were carried out on the slopes of Wielis\u0142awka, due to the presence of polymetallic ores, the remains of which are heaps, shafts and excavations. At the top of the hill, in the Middle Ages, there was supposed to be a small castle, after which fragments of walls built of limestone rocks are now left. With a mountain Wielis\u0142awskie organs<\/strong> legend is associated. Apparently, the retreating German army in 1945 was supposed to hide the so-called The gold of Wroc\u0142aw. This undiscovered treasure was supposed to be the contents of all banks and valuables belonging to the inhabitants of the vicinity of pre-war Wroc\u0142aw. Although the search was carried out both inside the hill and in the vicinity, the treasure could not be found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wielis\u0142awskie organs<\/strong> are on the yellow Trail of Extinct Volcanoes. At the rocks, the so-called green nature trail leading to the top of Wielos\u0142awka. Getting here shouldn't be difficult. The organ is located right next to the road 328 leading from Z\u0142otoryja to S\u0119dzisz\u00f3w. The road leads along the mill stream, i.e. a small watercourse leading to the former mill. However, it is worth bearing in mind that it is uncured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Expedition under Wielis\u0142awskie organs<\/strong> we can be a great idea to spend a pleasant afternoon. We can also stop here for a file. This is made possible by the places for grilling and camping located under the Wielis\u0142awki Hill. The adits remaining from the former mining activity are not open to visitors. Most of them are buried. However, some of the still unfilled shafts are not blocked in any way.
